Introduction to Chemistry - SSS010
Description
This subject is designed to cover the minimum level of knowledge required to cope with a typical first year university chemistry subject.
Topics covered: classification and nature of matter, atomic structure, properties of ionic and molecular compounds, nomenclature, chemical equations, solution stoichiometry and introduction to organic chemistry.
Study is by distance education and all materials are provided by mail. Tutorial support is provided and assignments are marked with feedback to students.
