Stepping into Statistics - SSS014
Description
This subject will provide students with the necessary skills to successfully attempt subjects such as Business Statistics (QBM117), Business Research and Information Systems (QBM120), Scientific Statistics (STA201), Mathematics and Statistics in the Health Sciences (MTH135) and Methods in Environmental Data Analysis (BIO263).
Topics covered: calculator skills, basic algebra, introductory statistics, sigma notation, inequalities and introductory probability.
A two-day workshop will be offered at Charles Sturt University in Bathurst (internal mode). Students can also study this subject by distance education mode requiring approximately 14 hours of hours of individual study time.
