Transition to Nursing Studies - SSS016
Description
This subject is available to those students who have received an offer to studying a Bachelor of Nursing. The fundamental aim of the subject is to prepare prospective nursing students for the academic requirements of the Bachelor of Nursing, particularly those studying by distance education.
Topics covered: an introduction to university learning with particular reference to the Bachelor of Nursing, understanding your needs and resources, using the online learning environment, maths for nurses, effective time management, the fundamentals of reading, note taking and academic writing and examination preparation.
Transition to Nursing Studies is available as a distance education study package, which means you will be provided with printed material and supported through a subject forum. The subject is self-paced and will require approximately 26 hours to complete.
