Guidelines
A working party with the following representation was extablished to develop University wide guidelines for the development and conduct of orientation activities.

Responsibility for the coordination of orientation activities lies with the Divsion of Student Services.
New student welcome screens
New students will now a be welcomed and presented with key information upon acceptance of offer. The welcomes will be customised depending on student demographics including whether a student is Indigenous, international, enrolled in a policing course or their age group. The final stage of the welcome screen directs students to the orientation web site.
Orientation web site
A new Student Orientation web site was developed in late 2010 and is available at http://www.csu.edu.au/orientation This site replaces the Student Life and Guide to Learning web sites.
The ongoing responsibility for the maintenance of the orientation web site lies with the Division of Student Services.
Transition for TAFE to University
A Working Party chaired by Roz Brennan-Kemmis was formed to address the specific orientation needs of those students entering CSU via a TAFE qualification – in particular those who may enter with a credit package. The Terms of Reference of the Working Party are available here [206kb .PDF]
