About the courses
The Emergency Management industry is growing and the impact of major emergency/disaster events, both in Australia and around the world, constantly draws attention to the need for effective management of emergencies, such as the 2001 World Trade Centre bombings, the 2004 Asian Tsunami, the 2005 Hurricane Katrina, 2006 Cyclone Larry, 2009 Victorian Bushfires. The questioning of emergency management capabilities and qualifications following major events has also caused some practitioners to consider acquisition of formal qualifications in emergency management.
