Dr Valerie Ingham is a senior lecturer in Emergency Management within the Australian Graduate School of Policing at Charles Sturt University, based on the Canberra campus. She has been at Charles Sturt University since 2005.
Her PhD examined the somatic and aesthetic awareness of incident controllers in time pressured decision making. She is a founding member of the Bangladesh Australia Disaster Research Group and her research interests include perceptions of risk and resilience, disaster recovery and the tertiary education of emergency managers and fire investigators.
Dr Ingham also has extensive experience in the design, development and delivery of programs in the disciplines of emergency management, fire services, adult education and community services.
