Full-time on campus
A $100 per week Accommodation Scholarship is currently provided to everyone who studies the Associate Degree in Police Practice full-time on campus (no form required).
Please note that receipt of a scholarship application form does not automatically indicate that the recipient will receive an offer of admission.
Please be aware that about 60% of full-time on campus applicants receive a scholarship. All applicants for the Associate Degree in Policing Practice are encouraged to apply, however the number of scholarships available is limited, and they are awarded on a competitive basis.
Higher Value Scholarships may be awarded to applicants who, due to personal financial circumstances, would otherwise not be able to do the course.
Distance Education
Scholarships are not available for Session 1a and 1b, which are the first two sessions of study for distance education students. Once Sessions 1a and 1b have been successfully completed you will be able to apply for a scholarship for Session 2, which is full-time on campus at Goulburn. Scholarship Application Forms will be forwarded to DE students from CSU during Session 1B.
How to apply
Scholarship forms are sent out to applicants applying for fulltime on-campus study once CSU has received confirmation from NSW Police Recruitment that the Professional Suitability Assessment has been lodged. You need to provide supporting evidence with your scholarship application to show your various mortgage/loan commitments. Please refer to IMPORTANT NOTES on what evidence needs to be provided.
Please note: The $100 per week is on top of any other scholarship the student may be awarded.
By signing the accommodation booking form the student has accepted the scholarship and does not need to do anything more. If accommodation is not available on campus or the student elects to live off campus the $100 per week will be paid into their bank account.
If you are applying as an on-campus student and have lodged or completed your Professional Suitability Assessment and not received any information about how to apply for a scholarship, please complete the ONLINE WEB FORM to receive information about applying.
