An exciting feature of the rejuvenated course is the introduction of three workplace learning subjects. These subjects provide you with the opportunity to undertake a business placement in each of the three years of full time study.
Workplace learning subjects assist you to build relationships within industry and to explore the day to day aspects of a career in business. This ensures that from your first year at CSU, you will know you have chosen the right degree for the right career!
The amount of practical placement increases each year starting with 35 hours in first year and building to 120 hours in the final year of study. By establishing links with industry partners, you improve your chance of getting a fantastic job after you graduate.
CSU's new look Bachelor of Business offers you a greater choice of subjects, including less core subjects. This allows you to commence your specialisation and elective subjects in the first year of study.
Choose to specialise in one of the following business discipline areas: marketing; management; human resource management; finance; banking; or, insurance.
Within each specialisation there is further choice, as you can select up to eight subjects (one third of your degree) from a choice of ten to twelve recommended subjects. You can also choose to study up to five subjects from other Faculties at CSU including Science, Arts and Education.
This allows you to explore your interests outside of business, opening the door to a diverse range of subjects in almost any area offered by CSU and providing the opportunity to graduate with a 'joint study' in this second discipline.
CSU's Bachelor of Business (Banking) students specialise in preparation for managerial positions in banking and other financial institutions.
CSU's Bachelor of Business (Finance) is designed to prepare graduates for managerial and specialist positions in commerce, industry and the public sector.
CSU's Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) course provides a broad understanding and appreciation of organisations as well as skills in human resource management functions.
CSU's Bachelor of Business (Management) is designed to develop professional capabilities in a broad range of management areas such as leadership, strategy development, and project management.
As a graduate you will be educated to respond to the needs of Australian industry and commerce, particularly in the areas of strategic marketing, marketing communications and international marketing.
