Welcome to Australia's only Master degree dedicated to clinical exercise physiology that is delivered fully by distance education, the Master of Exercise Science (Rehabilitation).

The Master of Exercise Science (Rehabilitation) is offered by the School of Human Movement Studies and designed to prepare graduates for work as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP), a title that is awarded by the Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA).

Direct job outcomes in the field of clinical exercise physiology are a primary goal for graduating students. As such, significant emphasis is placed on developing clinical skill in the prescription of therapeutic exercise for the treatment and management of chronic conditions, including:

  • Cardiorespiratory
  • Metabolic
  • Musculoskeletal
  • Neurological
  • Mental Health
  • Cancer

“CSU’s Master of Exercise Science (Rehabilitation) enables me to register as an exercise physiologist at the end of my first year, and then continue on to further my development in my second year. Assignments are based on real client situations, developing our knowledge in reference to practical situations.”
