PREP (Principal's Report Entry Program) - Early Entry Scheme

What is PREP?

PREP stands for Principal’s Report Entry Program and is designed to attract academically talented students from the High Schools in non-metropolitan areas in NSW, ACT and Victoria.

To be eligible for nomination under the Program a Year 12 student should be identified by their School Principal as a consistent achiever with the potential to succeed in University studies. Selection is competitive and is based on the School Principal's assessment of the student's performance and potential to succeed at full time on campus study.

To be guaranteed an offer under PREP, a student must include that course as a preference on their UAC application form and to receive an Early Round offer that preference must be the highest preference the student has nominated.

Why does CSU offer PREP?

CSU is committed to helping students in our non-metropolitan communities gain access to higher education. A successful PREP application guarantees selected students an offer to their preferred course at CSU prior to the mainstream selection system, which is based on the Universities Admissions Index (UAI) or ENTER. This means you could be made an offer before your HSC results are known.

What courses are available through PREP?

Charles Sturt University offers almost 100 courses to undergraduate students, however some courses are excluded from PREP. These are:
