Wayne Rigby is a Registered Nurse, and he has three major nursing certificates which he attained before the age of 23. He has worked as a Nurse Unit Manager of an emergency department, was one of the first Gazetted Community Welfare Officers in NSW and has spent most of his life working in mental health. He also worked as Senior Staff Counsellor for the Australian Bureau of Statistics for six years and spent some time in Child Protection. He returned to health and has worked as a Health Service Manager and Senior Clinician. Wayne has worked for Charles Sturt University since 1997 and is currently the Project Director of the Djirruwang Program.
