As the Bachelor of Environmental Science and Management involves training in international environmental issues, and includes the international field experience, graduates are well placed to apply for graduate positions with Australian Government's AusAid program, and other international environment and development organisations.
By undertaking a Bachelor of Environmental Science you can select a specialisation (Conservation and Management, Catchment Management or Land and Water) that will open doors to many exciting career options. You may work in the public or private sector, undertake research, work as a wildlife officer, vegetation manager, industry advisor, consultant or an ecologist. This degree will allow you to utilise the practical application of your studies and be part of the solution to the world’s environmental problems.
With a Bachelor of Applied Science (Adventure Ecotourism) the future of tourism is yours. In this degree you will train in the field of nature based tourism, including national heritage and cultural tourism. While learning about the environment, you will learn the business, leadership, communication and social skills much sought after in the ecotourism industry. Become a tourism consultant, an instructor, a guide or operator, an outdoor or ecotourism training consultant, a recreation manager or a tourism resource manager in the public or private sector.
The Bachelor of Applied Science (Parks, Recreation and Heritage) has been developed in conjunction with the National Parks and Wildlife Service. Graduates of this course are trained to manage Australia’s natural and cultural resources for the purpose of conservation and recreation. Become an archaeologist, a ranger, Landcare coordinator, heritage manager or tour guide.
