Introduction

As our society recognises the need for maintaining a healthy, sustainable environment, there is an increasing call  for specialists in fields who can combine environmental management and protection, monitoring the effect of human activity upon the environment and undertake rehabilitation and restoration.

CSU offers a diverse and exciting range of undergraduate courses in Environmental Science and Management, Adventure Ecotourism and Parks Recreation and Heritage.

The majority of CSU’s environmental science courses are studied at the Thurgoona site of Albury-Wodonga Campus, Australia’s first environmentally friendly university campus. The University’s commitment to the environment can be seen in a wide range of design features on the campus including buildings made from rammed earth and recycled building materials, rehabilitated creeks and wetlands, windmills and solar collectors.

Students benefit from learning through experience, undertaking a six-week practical workplace program in an industry relevant to their course. This is in addition to the experience and skills gained through their studies.

CSU ’s environmental science courses are always relevant, thanks to its strong ties to the industry, and evolve to accommodate changing environmental, social and workplace needs.

The School fosters working links with the following industry bodies:
