Huge fee reduction for science and maths courses at CSU
The Federal Government has just announced that many of our science and mathematics courses will be classified as national priority. This means that students undertaking science or mathematics courses from 2009 onwards will pay much less in Student Contribution Fees (formerly HECS).
This could mean a reduction from $7260 p.a. to $4162 p.a. depending on your chosen course.
This government initiative recognises the importance of the science and maths professions to Australia and the need for qualified graduates to fill positions in a wide range of industries, government agencies and business.
CSU has a wide range of courses available in the sciences which qualify for this new reduction to your fees.
Even if you don't do a whole science degree, many of our other courses include science or maths subjects which are also eligible for the reduction, including the Bachelor of Industry Computing, the Bachelor of Information Technology and the Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Information Technology.
Graduating from a science course at CSU could see you working in fields such as agriculture/horticulture, developing sustainable environments, adventure tourism, viticulture and the wine industry, research and development, data and risk analysis, quality control, finance, astronomy, information technology, teaching, animal health and human health and medicine.
With this reduction in your fees and the opportunity to gain one of CSU’s Science Scholarships ($4000 per year for up to four years), there's never been a better time to study science, and start an exciting career in which you can be part of the solution to the scientific, environmental and technological challenges of the 21st Century (as well as gaining a very good salary).
Get ahead with a CSU science degree.
