Build your own degree

Single Subject Study can be a stepping stone towards graduating with a full degree. Students may use their single subject study to enrol directly into one of CSU’s generic degrees.

These generic degrees provide access to a wide range of subjects, allowing you to study what interests you.

The University currently offers four generic degrees:

  1. The Bachelor of Business Studies
  2. The Bachelor of Educational Studies
  3. The Bachelor of General Studies (Science)
  4. Bachelor of Liberal Studies (Arts)

CSU aims to introduce the Bachelor of Creative Studies for study in 2011.

Students can also use their single subject study as credit towards one of our other courses if they decide to focus on a specific area.

Credit

Students who undertake Single Subject Study may be granted full credit for completed subjects in one of CSU’s generic degrees. Credit for Single Subject Study will very often be available for other CSU degrees as well, upon application.
