Open Entry

Many people have the desire to study at university but haven’t yet had the opportunity. It may be that you haven't finished Year 12, or that you went straight into the workforce. Perhaps you started a family or felt that a university qualification was unobtainable. Whatever your circumstance, CSU’s new Single Subject Study and Open Entry program is the answer.

Not only can you attempt our open entry subjects without any prior knowledge or experience, you will you be able to try university study without committing to a full degree. By studying a subject or two, you can explore a topic that you find interesting while proving yourself capable of university study.

Successful completion of two open entry subjects will not only provide a sense of achievement but can be used to build your own degree or enter another CSU degree program if you decide university study is for you.

Open entry subjects are usually Level One - the entry point to tertiary study. As you progress through the levels, academic expectations will increase. While they may not have specific prerequisites, postgraduate subjects are generally only available to people who have an undergraduate degree or requisite work experience. If in doubt, contact us.
