CSU Schools
School styles are designed to complement the Faculty website style. See the links below for more information on styles for all the schools within each Faculty.
School Websites
- New sites - Before new sites are designed or added to your school website on the public server, please consult with the Web Design Team for advice on where it should live and the correct styles and layouts.
- External Hosting of websites - All official csu information must reside on the official server. Please consult with the CSU Web Curator if you feel your needs are not being met. We can assist with offering advice on the best solution.
School Content
- Copyright - Public websites should not to contain any copyright information without prior approval. More information - http://www.csu.edu.au/copyright/. Ensure you have written permission for any copyrighted material you plan to use (ie texts, tables, photos.)
- Currency of content - All content needs to be reviewed regularly by the allocated Page Curator. Ensure information is regularly updated such as course coordinators, news, seminars in an accessible manner that meets CSU web guidelines.
- Personal publishing - Content of a non-official nature can be published to your personal publishing area on csusap and should not be published to the official school websites. For more instructions visit the Personal Publishing webpage. Your website address will be something like - http://csusap.csu.edu.au/~jcitizen (your initial and surname)
- Do not duplicate official information. Web content must link directly to the authoritative information source.
- Course brochures - these can be updated within 24 hours, please contact Marketing.
- Handbooks - Link to www.csu.edu.au/handbook to avoid updating the link annually.
- Training - Ensure a member of staff who has undertaken Page Curator Induction Training is appointed to the role of Page Curator.
- Web Content - Ensure information on your websites is written for the purpose of website delivery. Marketing can assist with editing content for this purpose. Eg. use PDF files for documents intended for printing.
- Proofing - Ensure you have a double proofing mechanism in your school. Everyone makes mistakes!
- Editing - Ensure all statistics, proper names, titles, degrees, technical terms and phone numbers/web addresses have been checked.
- Approvals - Ensure any necessary approvals (Dean, Head of School etc.) have been made before uploading sites.
