Dr Parthasarathi completed his Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Melbourne, completing with Honours and obtaining the Des Crack Memorial Prize. Medical School was completed through the University of Newcastle, graduating with Distinction, and being awarded the Steele Douglas Prize. Primary examinations through the RACDS with multiple commendations, and following four years of specialist training, awarded his specialist qualifications FRACDS(OMS)
Dr Parthasarathi has previously worked in New Zealand, working as a dental and maxillofacial surgery resident at Auckland City Hospital, Starship Children’s Hospital, and Middlemore base hospital.
Medical Internship and general surgical residency were completed at St Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst, Sydney. Following work this, four years of Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training were completed through the following hospitals: Prince of Wales, Sydney Children’s, Westmead Adult Hospital, Calvary Hospital and The Canberra Hospital.
Dr Parthasarathi is a registered Medical Specialist with AHPRA, and holds both public hospital, and private hospital posts in addition to his academic posts.
Dr Parthasarathi has been actively involved in teaching across multiple universities. As an Conjoint Associate Lecturer for UNSW medical school in Sydney, he won the “Best JMO Tutor” Award.
Currently Dr Parthasarathi is an Associate Lecture at the University of Sydney, and runs tutorial Sessions at CSU, and tutors for specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Trainees in NSW.
Dr Parthasarathi enjoys research and is the author of a number of articles in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Peer Reviewed Journals and has presented his research at both National and International meetings.
