Office of Industry and Community Engagement

The Office of Industry and Community Engagement is responsible for developing and leading Charles Sturt University’s engagement and collaboration with industry and the community across the University’s footprint.

The University has a critical role in building strong, vibrant regional communities with intellectual capital, social capital and infrastructure. Community Engagement is one of the three pillars of the University Strategy which aims to achieve recognition of the University as an anchor institution in its communities and as an agent of change through impactful, solution driven research.

The University is a community minded organisation with strong links to industry, government and other educational organisations.

Arts and Archives

The Charles Sturt University Regional Archives and University Art Collection is a combined-function repository on the South Campus of Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga.

Community engagement

The University cultivates strong, relevant and collaborative partnerships designed to promote higher education opportunity and research excellence through Charles Sturt University and community engagement.

Innovation hubs

We support the development of regional entrepreneurship, small to medium-sized enterprises and a networked innovation ecosystem in the Central West and southern regions of NSW through establishing work spaces to promote innovation.

Carnegie classification

The Carnegie Community Engagement Classification is an elective program from the U.S. that signifies institutional achievement of the highest standards of community engagement.
