The Technology Portfolio Framework is available for download here [.pdf].
The Technology Portfolio Framework defines CSU's generic classification scheme of infrastructure systems (including software, hardware and services) to support business applications. This allows a common viewpoint and understanding of the technology domains across CSU.
These domains are primarily segmented along the lines of how technology vendors choose to bundle and target their offerings. For example - under a Functional Segmentation (Data, Application, and Presentation) Model, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Outlook would sit in different domains but under the
Technology Portfolio Framework these related offerings sit together within a single domain as they support a single business application or business objective.
The Technology Portfolio Framework also presents technology domains at three levels of detail - moving from coarse segmentation to finer classifications of technology offerings.
