There are a wide range of both free and paid apps to help meet your mobile business requirements. A list of popular productivity apps is provided in the table below for your convenience.
Access to and payment for these apps is via the Apple App store, using either a CSU corporate credit card or previously purchased iTunes gift certificate. Selection of the most relevant app and payment is the responsibility of the school, faculty or division.
University data stored on or accessed from iOS devices remains the responsibility of the owner. Storing confidential CSU data on these devices should be avoided where possible. If you require assistance or advice about securing your CSU provided device, please contact the IT Service Desk.
A strong Community of Practice has formed at CSU with many like-minded staff willing to offer advice and support. Join the group on Yammer to discuss all things iPad: from apps to accessories, tips & tricks and how you are using them from a productivity or teaching perspective.

Yammer brings together CSU staff, content and conversations in a single convenient location. Yammer offers you an intelligent and efficient way to connect with the information and people that you need to get work done. Collaborate and share ideas together in real time, no matter where you are. There are many CSU groups on Yammer.
Use Bridgit to create or join a meeting and view the presenters screen. Highlight or annotate over that content just like you do on your computer. You can also use it with a SMART Board.
Help topics are available inside the app by tapping the question mark in the bottom left corner. Dont forget to enter your name the first time you join a meeting.

The Skype for Business for iOS app brings Skype for Business presence, instant messaging (IM), and voice and video calling to your mobile device.
This app can be used by those with and without CSU paid plans. It enables you to keep an eye on your data usage each month.

Access, manage and share a variety of PDF types including PDF Portfolios, password protected documents, fillable forms and Adobe LiveCycle rights managed PDF. You can sign, complete forms, annotate and comment.
Access, manage, share and annotate PDF documents, highlight text, make notes, draw with your finger and save these changes (compatible with Preview and Adobe Acrobat. Use it to fill PDF forms. PDF Expert can read almost all document types like: iWork, MS Office, Power Point, text files, images, music and video files etc.

Documents to Go is an all-in-one application with support for Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, PDF and other files and attachments. 100% of the original file formatting will be maintained. There are two versions available standard and premium. Premium has more functionality.
Pages allows you to edit and format documents, create reports, letters, memos and flyers. You can easily add images to your document using the Media Browser. Browse through your document using the page navigator and see a thumbnail preview of each page. Create footnotes and endnotes and view improved word counts with character, paragraph, and page counts.

A powerful office editing suite, PDF viewer and file manager that works with your email attachments, local files and cloud storage accounts. Quickoffice® Pro HD lets you quickly edit Microsoft Office documents such as Word, Excel, or PowerPoint files. You can also create a new document or spreadsheet right on your iPad. When you’re finished, you can share your files via email.
Numbers is an innovative spreadsheet designed for the mobile device to make compelling spreadsheets. With tables, charts, photos and graphics, you can assemble formulas with over 250 functions, including built-in help. Keynote is a powerful presentation app designed for a mobile device. You can get started quickly using to display any presentation on an external display or projector. Navigate slides, view presenter notes, and use the laser pointer while presenting from your iOS device. Share your work by exporting it as a Keynote ’09, Microsoft PowerPoint, or PDF file and send by email.
SlideShark lets you show PowerPoint® presentations from your device with animations, fonts, graphics, hyperlinks and videos intact.
Evernote is an easy-to-use, free app that helps you remember everything across all of the devices you use. Stay organized, save your ideas and improve productivity. Evernote lets you take notes, capture photos, create to-do lists, record voice reminders--and makes these notes completely searchable, whether you are at home, at work, or on the go.
PhatPad turns your iPad into an advanced brainstorming tool. Draw, write and type your ideas then instantly share them via email, WiFi sync, Dropbox or presentation mode.
iBooks is an e-reader for iPad. It primarily receives ePub content from the iBook store, but you can also add your own ePub and PDF files via data synchronisation with iTunes. Additionally, they can be downloaded to iBooks through Safari or Apple Mail.
Dropbox can be used to store files and is especially useful if you work cross-platform. Dropbox for iPad takes advantage of the screen and also gives you previews of your documents, photos, and media. You can open your documents in whatever app you have installed that supports that type of media.
