Printing job not coming out at printer

If you are sending work to a printer and there is no output, you can do a couple of things before you report the issue to the IT Service Desk.

You’ll need to check (in the following order) that:

  • the printer is plugged into a power outlet and powered on
  • your network cable is plugged into the back of your PC correctly
  • there is paper in the printer
  • there are no error messages on your printer screen
  • you have configured your printer user code on your computer (if required)

After doing this, you may need to:

  • switch the printer off and then on again
  • restart your computer

If you are still having trouble completing your print job after completing these steps, please log a job with the IT Service Desk.
