Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) provides access to university ICT services from any device with an active internet connection including:

  • Personal (P) and Shared (S) drives
  • OneDrive for Business
  • Internet Browsers (e.g. Chrome and Firefox)
  • Printing
  • Standard (e.g. Microsoft Office) and specialist software.

VDI works by using your computer to access a CSU desktop operating system on a CSU network server allowing you to interact with CSU applications.

Access

VDI is available to all current students and staff.

Access the VDI from a CSU managed computer, personal device or web interface.

Cost

Provision, management and support of the VDI is funded by the University and provided at no extra cost to staff.
