What Is This Service?

The printing service enables staff to install and print to any printer that is connected to the CSU network (must have Budget Manager consent). Network printers provide the ability for mutliple staff to share the same printer.

The CSU Computer Shop provides a consultative service to discuss requirements and provide advice on purchasing a printer to meet your needs.

What Is Included?

  • Ability to purchase network and multifunction printers from the CSU Computer Shop
  • Provision of consultative service to discuss printer requirements prior to purchase
  • Ability to install network printers using the Printer Installation page - recommended web browser is Internet Explorer
  • Ability to request existing network printer be added to the Printer Installation page
  • Ability to print from standard and specialty applications
  • Ability to print A4, A3, single sided and duplex in black and white or colour (printing will be duplex by default)
  • Ability to print from VDI to your own printer when working from home
  • Ability to request addition of specific network printer to Banner (new print queue)
  • Centralised creation and management of print queues
  • Diagnosis and resolution of inability to install printer from the Printer Installation page
  • Diagnosis and resolution of inability to print issues caused by network or software related faults
  • Diagnosis and resolution of inability to see or print to a Banner printer
  • Support for printer warranty repairs includes scheduling of external technician, tracking status of repair and verifying repair has been completed and fault has been remedied

How Do I Initiate This Service?

Installation or reinstallation

Install or reinstall a network or multi-function printer purchased from the CSU Computer Shop by using the Printer Installation page - recommended web browser is Internet Explorer.

After installing a photocopier which you can print to you will have to enter your user code (user ID) into the printer driver. The administration assistant responsible for the photocopier in your section can advise how to do this.

How Much Does It Cost?
