Closure of Bathurst library and surrounding buildings

Truskett Library and some surrounding buildings at Charles Sturt University in Bathurst will be closed Sunday, June 29, 2014 and Sunday, July 13, 2014.

The closure is necessary for high voltage electrical works to be carried out as part of the installation of the University's co-generation plant (building 1416).

A shutdown of power to the Bathurst library/Learning Commons (building 1412) and surrounding buildings (see list below) is required for these works to take place.

The 24/7 Learning Commons space and the affected buildings will be accessible as normal from 5pm on both Sundays.

Library access will return to normal from 8.30am, Monday, June 30 and Monday, July 14, 2014.

Buildings affected by the shutdown include:

  • The religious centre (building 1298)
  • Building 1299
  • Music block (building 1300)
  • Post graduate research office (building 1301)
  • Truskett Library/Learning Commons (building 1412)
  • Student amenities centre (building 1413)
  • Mason Building (building 1414)
  • Boiler house (building 1416)
