CSU has a range of leadership and management development programs designed to develop the experience, exposure and education of aspiring and existing leaders and managers.
Kerrilyn Toal - 2015 GCULM graduate - I thoroughly enjoyed studying the Graduate Certificate in University Leadership and Management (GCULM) at CSU. This course provided a good balance of practical and theoretical learning, with stimulating readings and a variety of interesting assessments that can be applied within the day to day work at CSU. It also provided a good understanding of the internal and external context of universities (in general and within CSU) and had relevant, thought provoking guests speakers. It was delivered in a flexible online format, meaning I could fit it into my busy work-home life and I could connect with others within the course easily.
Kellie Munn - 2015 GCULM graduate - I enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in University Leadership and Management wanting to develop my leadership capabilities and to explore how Universities work in the context of the Higher Education Sector. The GCULM has given me tools to evaluate and develop my own leadership and that of others, and has provided me with an excellent grounding in the theory and concepts of University Governance and Strategy. As I hadn't formally studied for a few years, I found the scaffolding of learning around the use of technology a great strength of the program, and a key contributor to student interactions and our success. A highlight of the program was interacting with University Leaders from the Executive, who were open to sharing their experiences and happy to answer questions. I would highly recommend the GCULM to anyone who seeks to understand the Higher Education Sector, and sees themselves leading in its future.
