Probation

You may need to serve a probation period when you start at CSU. Different probation requirements apply depending on whether you're an academic, professional/general or senior/executive staff member.

Allowances and acting appointments

You may receive an allowance for completing higher duties or acting in a higher level position.

CSU Card

Your CSU Card identifies you as a student or staff member of the University. As a CSU Card holder, you'll be able to access library services, buy items from campus retail outlets and enter buildings fitted with Cardax proximity readers.

Reward and recognition (RED)

RED (Recognising Excellence Daily) is our new reward and recognition program. It aims to inspire us to connect with each other and work in ways that reflect our values-based culture.

Employee Development and Review Scheme (EDRS)

The Employee Development and Review Scheme (known as EDRS) is the formal performance review process at CSU.

Professional development

CSU supports the development of employees through a range of opportunities. They aim to develop skills and build capability by creating a culture that aligns to our values and behaviours.

Academic promotions

Academic promotion is one of the ways we recognise academic staff service and leadership, and achievements in creating knowledge and promoting learning.

Study support

CSU encourages employees to pursue further education. Employees may apply for study assistance when undertaking an approved program of study.
