This training is to equip staff with information regarding implications of the Defence Trade Controls Act 2012 and how to determine if research work falls under the scope of the Act (either their own work or the work of others they supervise). Researchers would then need to obtain a permit to export or supply controlled goods or technology (including publication of information) prior to commencing any research which may fall under the scope of the Act.
