The Division of Human Resources is committed to being a valued partner, critical to your success. Under the Internal Capability Strategy, we are dedicated to developing an engaged and successful workforce, skilled people leaders and successfully managing change. We are making some changes to our service model to support a leader-led approach by coaching and advising managers in dealing with HR issues.

The new teams

We have introduced a Recruitment Team to partner with you to enhance recruitment and deliver the workforce required for the future.

We are also introducing the HR Business Partner Team to better support our Faculties, Divisions, Centres and Offices to meet their strategic goals.

Finally, our new Change Team is supporting the building of change capability across the organisation through education, provision of resources and involvement in strategic projects.

The difference

Recruitment

To help ensure you get the staff you need when you need them, our team of experienced Recruitment Consultants will work with you to:

  • Develop a recruitment plan including a bespoke sourcing and assessment strategy. The agreed plan, including timeframes and responsibilities, will be confirmed in writing.
  • Design interview questions aligned with both the key capabilities from the CSU Capability Framework and our Values, as well as including the technical skills required for your position description. This will improve the interview process and help ensure you get the right fit for the role.
  • Provide new online assessments to further inform recruitment outcomes.

Over time, we will also run targeted recruitment campaigns to develop talent pools enabling you to fill your vacancy quickly with pre-assessed talent.

HR Liaison

HR Liaison Officers will now be known as HR Business Partners (HRBPs).

You will have a key contact for your Division, Faculty, Office or Centre partnering with you to deliver outcomes. They will:

  • Empower you to be more impactful in your role through coaching and supporting you and your leadership team to build capability in dealing with HR related matters.
  • Play an active role in your strategic planning, working in collaboration with the recruitment and change teams.

Change

In response to feedback from the Your Voice staff survey, and to help us deliver on the University Strategy, we have created a team of change specialists. This team will be working proactively with leaders to improve how we lead and manage change and enable us to thrive and adapt in a changing environment.

We will have two key areas of focus:

  • a centre of excellence, building change capability and embedding our change framework
  • delivering strategic change management to the University Strategy and strategic projects.
