Assessment Policy - Coursework Subjects: This Policy explains the requirements of assessment and grading of CSU coursework subjects. You will find details of the Grading Scale that must be awarded for subjects, procedures for awarding additional assessments and exams (AA and AE), an explanation of other grades (AW, FW, GP, IP, TA, NA, SX, WD) and further steps that can be followed in regard to issues such as incomplete assessments/ delayed assessments/ extension of time limit / notification of grade/ converting to substantive grades / review of grades. Also includes general matters relating to assignment receipt and return, examinations, and special consideration.
Assessment Principles Policy: Establishes a framework of minimum quality standards for assessment. Explains the purpose and basic principle behind criterion-referenced standards-based assessment at CSU, along with responsibilities of students and staff over assessment for every subject offered by the University.
Moderation Policy: The Moderation Policy provides a framework of minimum requirements for the moderation of learning materials and assessments for all undergraduate and coursework postgraduate courses and subjects. Explains the purpose and objectives of moderation and the procedures for pre-delivery, during delivery, and post-delivery moderation, as well as benchmarking. Provides an outline of the roles, responsibilities and reporting of moderation.
Referencing Policy: This Policy provides specific instruction on the approval of referencing style within discipline areas or the Faculty, and requirements for information to be provided to students in Subject Outlines for assessment purposes.
Subject Outlines Policy: The Subject Outlines Policy provides details of the purpose and content of the Subject Outline, including all information that must be provided to students on each assessment task. You will also find details on how you can make variations to the Subject Outline after it has been published.
