Office for Learning & Teaching (OLT) Grants Round 2, 2015: Congratulations
Senator the Hon Simon Birmingham, Minister for Education and Training, recently announced the Office for Learning and Teaching (OLT) grants Round 2, 2015. OLT grants are included in the Australian Competitive Grants Register (Category 1).
It is with great pleasure that I congratulate Dr Patricia Logan who was awarded a seed grant of $40,000, for the project: "Enrolled nurse transition: development of a university preparation program for direct entry to 2nd year".
The aim of the grant is to support and meet the needs of enrolled nurses undertaking transition to pre-registration nursing degrees by designing a cross-institutional website of open resources, and a navigation tool that enables personalisation of the use of these resources. The site will be on a platform that allows student access off-line for those with poor internet access.
Dr Logan, as lead researcher at CSU will be collaborating with colleagues at James Cook University, Griffith University and the University of Technology Sydney. The grant is innovative and demonstrates great potential for a positive impact on the quality of learning and teaching at Charles Sturt University and in Australian higher education, more broadly.
