Online Meetings for Students

Online Meeting is a live, virtual classroom platform. This ‘virtual classroom’ environment allows for live meetings utilising text, audio, video and content sharing. At CSU we are currently using Zoom and Adobe Connect to connect online.

Zoom Video Conferencing

Zoom provides access to online video and audio conferencing from any location with an active internet connection.

Technical Requirements

24 hours before you attend a CSU online Meeting, you will need to check your connection status.

If you're still experiencing issues with connecting to or using Online Meeting, contact Student Central.

Connecting with a Mobile App

To connect download the  Adobe Connect App. You can check your device and equipment is compatible at Adobe Connect Technical Specs. Not all functionality is available on mobile devices.

How do I Access an Online Meeting in Interact2

Access to Online Meetings will be via a link provided in your Interact2 subject site or an email invite that contains the URL for the Online Meeting room.

Enter the Online meeting as a guest.

How to Participate in Meetings

Audio Setup Wizard 

Each time you enter the Online Meeting room check your audio using the Audio Setup Wizard.

This is accessed in the Meeting tab.

Using your microphone

  1. To talk in a meeting you will need to select “Connect My Audio”.

  2. You may need to accept the “Allow Adobe Flash Player”.

  3. Your microphone icon will indicate it is turned by changing colour from white to green.

    Please note: you will only see the microphone icon if the Host has enabled this functionality.
  4. It is good protocol to mute your microphone when not talking. “Mute My Microphone” is the first dropdown under the Microphone icon in the top menu bar.

  5. If you wish to speak select the “Raise Hand” option. “Raise Hand” is the first dropdown under the icon of the Person with a hand raised.

Your Meeting may be Recorded

Please note that your host may record the session and provide a recording link so attendees and others not present can review.

Support for Online Meetings

Contact Student Central during their support hours to report a technical issue with Online Meetings. Once you have contacted a staff member at CSU, it may take up to 1 hour to get a response for issues affecting availability. Please allow 2 business days for the resolution of major incidents affecting the availability of Online Meetings.
