PVC (Learning & Teaching)

The PVC position was created in 2013/14 to support renewed focus on standards and quality in learning and teaching. My mission has been to:

  • refresh the form and function of the Division of Learning and Teaching (DLT) in alignment with CSU priorities
  • strengthen DLT's relationship with Faculties and other Divisions
  • streamline and bolster the consultative committees that govern learning and teaching.

My personal passions (and research strengths) include:

  • assuring reward and recognition for teachers
  • building flexible and collaborative learning spaces
  • mainstreaming online learning
  • designing online role play and simulation for engaging, authentic learning interaction.

As a previous AUQA auditor and member of the TEQSA Expert Register I have substantial experience in quality and standards and a personal mission to refine how we embed standards in curriculum whilst not overlooking opportunities to design quality co-curricular learning experiences.
