Journal articles, books and other items that are not held by the Library may be requested using our Interlibrary loans service. This service is provided free for academic staff and honours, masters and PhD students. We will locate and supply items from another library or commercial document supplier, provided it is directly related to your current study or research at CSU.
For further information regarding making a request, please watch this video How to request non-CSU items in Primo Search.
Please be aware that the lending library may have special conditions for the loan of their material, including the duration and renewals. Also note that journal articles and chapters or pages from books are obtained subject to the provisions of the Copyright Act 1968.
Please Note: Books from other libraries cannot be sent overseas. We are only able to obtain copies of chapters or articles for students outside Australia.

For scanned items, where possible, copies of book chapters and journal articles will be emailed to you as a PDF. Large files or articles may be loaded to a web server, in which case an instructional email will supply you with a URL and PIN to access your documents.
For physical items, you will be notified via email when items are ready for collection from nominated CSU Library. If you are studying online, loan items will be posted out to you.
To renew your loan, contact one of the interlibrary loan staff at least three days before a loan is due. Please note that renewals are not always permitted by the lending library.
All interlibrary loans (including those that are not from a CSU library) must be returned to one of the libraries at Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange or Wagga Wagga via the return chute or by post before the due date. Straps must be returned with the loan item.
Borrowers are responsible for return postage costs to CSU Library.
