Employee Development and Review Scheme (EDRS)

The Employee Development and Review Scheme, known as EDRS, is the formal performance management review process at Charles Sturt.

EDRS has been designed to meet the needs of employee’s current and future professional needs, and is aligned to meet the objectives of Charles Sturt's strategic direction, values and behaviours.

The intent of EDRS is to encourage meaningful conversations between the employee and their manager to ensure employees are equipped to perform their role effectively.

EDRS serves the following purpose:

  • Setting and reviewing work objectives
  • Professional development – Identifying the appropriate level of support and development to achieve objectives
  • Ensuring alignment to our strategic direction, values and behaviours
  • Support from Charles Sturt to achieve work and professional development

  • System

    EDRS Manager is a custom-built performance management system, aligned to the needs of the Employee Development and Review Scheme. All permanent or fixed term employees who have completed probation are required to participate in the Scheme.

  • Timeframe

    “We are currently working towards aligning the EDRS calendar cycle for all staff. While we work through the detail, all staff should aim to have their goal setting finalised and a new EDRS plan in place by the end of March 2023"
