Easter concessional holiday
The Vice-Chancellor has granted a concessional holiday from 12.30 pm for all staff (other than casual staff) who are on duty on the morning of Maundy Thursday.
Staff will not be required to work beyond 12.30 pm on Maundy Thursday, 9 April 2020, except where required by their Head of Section to deliver classes or provide academic or support services that are important to ensure a high-quality student experience.
Scheduled classes and activities
Classes and practical sessions scheduled for the afternoon of Thursday, 9 April 2020 are to proceed unless alternative arrangements have been made. Students and staff should be notified as early as possible of any changes to scheduled teaching programs and other activities.
Time in lieu
Staff who are required for duty on the afternoon of Thursday, 9 April 2020 (including those involved in teaching and/or practical sessions) will be given a half day in lieu, to be negotiated with their supervisor and taken within one month from that date.
Part-time staff will work their normal hours of duty on the morning of Thursday, 9 April 2020 and, where applicable, shall not work beyond 12.30 pm.
Staff not in attendance
Please note that the half day concessional holiday is only available for staff in attendance. Annual leave or flexi-time taken on the morning of Thursday, 9 April 2020 negates the concessional leave. Staff members intending to take annual leave or flexi-time on this day should book a whole day of leave or flexi-time (not a half day) via the Web Kiosk.
Managers and supervisors
Please note it is your responsibility to ensure that staff who do not work on Thursday, 9 April 2020 take either a full day’s leave or a full day’s flexi-time.
