Maths Skills 1 - Introductory
If the course you’re about to study includes maths and you feel like you need a refresher, this subject is for you. You’ll learn foundational and non-calculator skills and cover topics such as basic arithmetic and basic algebra.
Maths Skills 2 - Intermediate A
This introductory subject is for students who are entering university without a strong background in mathematics.
Maths Skills 2 - Intermediate B
Do you already have some intermediate level mathematics skills, or have you completed Maths Skills 2 – Intermediate A and want to take your learning further? This subject builds on the content covered in Maths Skills – Intermediate A to give you more advanced algebra and problem solving skills.
Maths Skills 3 - Advanced A
If you’re enrolled in a mathematics-based course such as engineering or computer science that requires strong maths knowledge, our advanced maths skills subjects are an ideal way to prepare for study! This subject covers advanced algebra, trigonometry and number systems.
Maths Skills 3 - Advanced B
Following on from Maths Skills 3 - Advanced A, this subject covers more advanced mathematical concepts, including complex word problems, differentiation, chain rules, integration, derivatives, plane geometry and much more!
Introduction to Statistics
If you’re about to study a course that requires knowledge of statistics, or you’re embarking on research, this subject will get you ready. Introduction to Statistics is designed to help you become familiar with the skills required to study subjects in business, science, mathematics, psychology and research methods.
Prep for Teaching Maths 1
Are you planning a teaching career? It is now a government requirement that all new teachers have high-level skills in numeracy. This first of three preparation subjects will give you the opportunity to practise the numeracy skills required by the teaching profession.
Prep for Teaching Maths 2
This is this second preparation subject for students who want to enter the teaching profession. You’ll practise measurement and geometry and expand your numeracy skills. Building on the knowledge you gained in Prep for Teaching Maths 1 – Number and Algebra, you’ll further your abilities to understand and convey key mathematical models and equations!
Prep for Teaching Maths 3
In this third preparation for teaching subject you’ll learn about statistics and probability. You’ll get the opportunity to practise the numeracy skills required by the teaching profession, so that when you start your teaching course you already have a comprehensive understanding of key terminology and techniques.
