Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
  • be able to demonstrate an understanding of the insurance broking industry and typical broking structures
  • be able to explain the organisational requirements and other obligations of an Australian Financial Services Licensee as set out in Policy Statement 164 Licensing: Organisational capacities
  • be able to develop an operational business plan for a broking organisation
  • be able to explain the key tasks involved in human resource management of a broking organisation
  • be able to assess market needs and develop a marketing plan for a broking organisation
