This subject aims to develop numeracy knowledge and skills for everyday mathematical problems to a level appropriate for first year university studies. Students will learn to perform calculations with real numbers, fractions, decimals and percentages. Simple geometry concepts, such as parallel lines, interior angles, circle geometry and similar figures are covered, as are compass directions and the everyday use of maps and plans.
