This subject aims to develop the knowledge and skills of students in the fundamental area of grammatical accuracy in academic writing. It is an online and self-paced subject that allows student discussion and interaction to assist students towards more effective academic writing. Topics covered include the role of grammar in communication, parts of speech, writing a grammatically correct sentence, features of an effective paragraph, punctuation, spelling rules and strategies, and where to find help.
