What We Do

The National Wine and Grape Industry Centre generates scientific knowledge through research in the fields of viticulture and oenology. The results of our research:

  • Advance wine science through scientific publications and presentations for other researchers
  • Informs the content of Charles Sturt University's wine science courses
  • Provides the basis for the content of our resources for industry and NSW DPI training courses

The NWGIC supports the wine industry directly through:

  • Coordinating engagement activities Australia-wide
  • Development of technologies for grape and wine production
  • Offering research training opportunities for students of Charles Sturt University
