For Our Paramedic Students

  • Provide students with experiences that enhance their understanding of working interprofessionally.
  • Improve communication and interpersonal skills both interprofessionally and with clients.

About our Paramedic Students

CSU's Bachelor of Paramedicine is a three year degree that has been developed in consultation with ambulance industry leaders from around Australia and accredited with the Council of Ambulance Authorities (CAA).

Students range in age from school leavers to mature age, approximately equal male to female ratios, and come from diverse backgrounds and cultures.  They are passionate about health care and learning.

Students develop skills in clinical practice and health management, such as:

  • advanced cardiac life support
  • airway management
  • advanced life support for paediatric patients
  • incident management
  • law and ethics
  • advanced pharmacology
  • health promotion
  • injury prevention

Graduates gain employment with ambulance services locally and internationally, as well as work on mine sites, in the defence forces, and with private agencies.
