Engagement Funding

Aim

The aim of Engagement Funding is to assist Graham Centre members engage with industry and key stakeholders. Engagement funding will enable members to travel and meet with industry as part of developing industry grants and strengthening partnerships. It may also be used to provide some funding towards attending events where industry engagement – rather than research presentation – is the focus.

Important dates

Applications open        2 January

Applications are accepted throughout the year, however travel must be completed by 30 November of the funding year.

Please allow four weeks for consideration of your application.

Value

Members must provide a detailed description of costs for the proposed engagement activity. Each application will be assessed by the relevant Research Pathway Leader and the Centre Director.

All expenditure must be finalised prior to 30 November of the funding year. Unspent funds will not be carried forward into the next year.

Report template

Successful applicants are required to submit a report to the Graham Centre within 30 days of completion of the engagement activity using the Report Form.

Eligibility

To be eligible to receive Engagement Funding, you must be a Full or Associate Member as at 1 January of the year you apply for funding. Please refer to the Centre's Membership Policy.

Guidelines

Application Guidelines

  1. Funding is only available to Full and Associate Members.
  2. Applicants must provide clearly defined aims and expected outcomes of attending the engagement activity.
  3. Funding is not available for conference registration costs. Please apply through our Conference Support Scheme.
  4. Travel must not be booked until you have written advice that Engagement Funding has been approved.
  5. All travel bookings must be made through CSU or NSW DPI using the appropriate funding code. Retrospective transfers and/or reimbursement of privately arranged travel costs will not be permitted.
  6. Applications must be submitted on the Engagement Funding Application Form and should include additional supporting documentation, where applicable.
  7. Within 30 days of the completion of your engagement activity, please submit the Report Form detailing the outcomes of your travel and the final expenditure to grahamcentre@csu.edu.au. Ensure you copy in your Research Pathway Leader and Toni Nugent, Partnerships and Engagement Manager.
