Investigating selection pressures driving antibiotic resistance in the Riverina using a One Health approach

Dr Kellie Thomas' PhD is investigating the selection pressure for antibiotic resistance in the Riverina region, using a One Health approach that incorporates human, animal, and environment. Her research involves investigation of antibiotic usage, including the sociological and cultural factors that influence prescribing behaviour, and also pathways for antibiotic residue dissemination in the environment via human and animal waste management processes.
