The aim of this project was to identify through interviews with key stakeholders, the impacts of Newcrest mine on its host communities, for example Cadia's impacts on the Orange/Blayney/Cabonne region. Specifically, the researchers wanted to identify the impacts of the mine politically, economically, socially, technologically, legally and environmentally and use this information in an assessment of how Newcrest meets its social responsibilities.
