PaCT Fellow appointed to World Council of Churches’ Role

Congratulations to PaCT fellow Dr Seforosa Carroll who has been appointed as Programme Executive, Mission and Evangelism / Mission from the Margins at the World Council of Churches. The role is based in Geneva.

For the last several years Dr Carroll has worked for Uniting World on their Pacific partnerships which is a mix of theological work and program development.

Dr Carroll was a resident member of the Center of Theological Inquiry research team in Princeton on the inquiry Religion and Migration from 2017-2018. Based on her fellowship, Dr Carroll has written a chapter titled “Too late for justice? Disappearing Islands, Migration and Climate Justice”  in the book Christian Theology in the Age of Migration: Implications for World Christianity which is due to be published shortly by Lexington Press.

Dr Carroll has also been the Oceania regional representative on the executive of the Global Network of Public Theology and is a member of the editorial board for the International Journal of Public Theology. 
The Executive Director of PACT Rt Rev’d Professor Stephen Pickard said Dr Carroll has wide experience and is a leading Pacific Island theologian.
