If you’re about to start a science degree, Mathematics for the Sciences – SSS008 is just what you need to brush up on essential mathematical skills.
This subject is particularly relevant if you’ve chosen to study a CSU degree in agricultural science, animal science, equine science or veterinary science. You will learn how to apply a broad range of mathematical concepts and be well prepared for Introductory Mathematics – MTH105.
This subject will review foundation skills in mathematics such as:
- Calculator skills;
- Unit conversions using the unit factor method;
- Mathematical operations of using algebra;
- Trigonometry; and
- Graphing Techniques.
For this subject you will complete 26 hours of self-paced online learning with support from your subject coordinator who will give you support and feedback as you build your skills and confidence in scientific mathematics.
