If you’re about to start a science degree, Mathematics for the Sciences – SSS008 is just what you need to brush up on essential mathematical skills.
This subject is particularly relevant if you’ve chosen to study a CSU degree in agricultural science, animal science, equine science or veterinary science. You will learn how to apply a broad range of mathematical concepts and be well prepared for Introductory Mathematics – MTH105.
You will learn about the use of calculator, algebra, geometry, graphs and functions, linear regression, arithmetic and geometric series, mathematical finance, logarithms and exponential functions, growth and decay, logarithmic graphs, trigonometry and vectors, and the derivative and applications of calculus.
For this subject you will complete 26 hours of self-paced online learning with support from your subject coordinator who will give you support and feedback as you build your skills and confidence in scientific mathematics.
