Students will be supported to apply a project management methodology to address an evidence based need for change in their workplaces. Students will undertake a contextual analysis to justify the proposed change drawing on relevant local data, academic literature and policy documents. Students will develop a project proposal, a project plan, a business case, ongoing progress reviews and a final class presentation.
Learning in the subject will be underpinned by a reflective journal and relevant theory on project management in health services, and on the management and leadership of change. Students will also participate in online class deliberation and critique of project and change management challenges in health services.
