JST531 Dissertation (16)

This dissertation will require students to examine a specific aspect of their Course of studies.  The dissertation must result from original and independent research conducted by the student for this course and have prior approval of the  Academic Supervisor.  The research should examine aspects of  practice with reflection on best practice and the development of policy.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
  • be able to complete empirical research in an area of practice related to specialist area of investigation or practice.
  • be able to write concise research report and critically discuss research undertaken
  • be able to discuss results of research and formulate recommendations for 'best practice' in the area of research and specialisation.

Syllabus

This subject will cover the following topics:

- Conduct empirical research in area of specialisation. - Produce review results of research. - Write up findings of research. - Develop recommendations from research conducted. - Teach and Support
