This subject covers the concepts of physics and instrumentation in the field of computed tomography (CT). It briefly reviews the basic physics principles of CT and extensively considers the physics of advanced principles and techniques. The subject will extensively cover image quality and other quality factors in CT. It will cover such areas as 3D imaging and vessel analysis; smart prep; dual energy systems; CT fluoroscopy; modern tube designs and other associated instrumentation, such as pressure injectors.
Radiation dosimetery in CT, IT methods of measurement and IT relationship to image quality will be covered.
